This is my version of Harry Potter Hufflepuff Socks TENSION.  yes tension is the reason for such a long delayed update on the Harry Potter Socks....  I could not get the right tension. Just a quick update.  I did end up restarting my frosted fern Niebling. Mainly because I didn't like the center start. Now my hands will stay warmer!  I used two strands of wool ease yarn.  This was suppose to be an exercise in reversible double knitting for me. The cuff was successful but than for the rest of the mitt I just held both strands together and did regular knitting for like 8 inches in length with 3 rows of purl at the end and finished off with Jenny's super stretchy bind off.   This mitt also works

Two pair baby newborn socks freshly handknit!  Wish I could remember name of this sock yarn as I adore it! Both pairs cast-on 22 stitches and both were knit the same amount of rows. Left pair on size 2 needles/ Right pair on size 4 needles.  Circulars of course!!!! Can't visually tell much difference between the two pair... but is it just me or does the left pair seem to have a fuller instep?

I've been practicing most the whole day on  two different things. I'll tell about the second one in a moment. First, of course, I'm trying to get these twisted stitches figured out in my pattern. I have the right twisted just fine and easy but the left twisted stitches are a bit hard for me.  It's the latter half of the left twisted stitch that's giving me a bugger of a fit each and every time.

I made a Kindergarten Nap Mat for my baby grangirl ! Soft and cuddly. Just took a blanket, folded it in 3rds. lengthwise and sewed along the edges so it don't smoosh around when it gets washed.
